  2. C64S now supports VESA 1.2 mode 800*600*16.
  3. Use -vesa command line option or run C64SVESA.BAT.

  7. Use VESA mode:
  8. - if you own a Tseng ET6000 based graphics card (Hercules, STB, etc.)
  9. - when you want to see more of the C64 screen and you can't use Extended mode
  10. - when you want to see interlaced video (press CTRL-ALT-I)

  12. VESA mode display functions are not totally perfect yet.
  13. Occasionally the sprites will move over the border, but the
  14. programs will not have any problems because of that.
  15. Some of the C64 graphics lines are thicker than the others,
  16. that's not a bug, it's necessary to preserve original screen
  17. ratio.
